Ajit Pawar was born on 22 July 1959 in Ahmednagar, Devlali, Maharashtra state. He is the elder son of NCP president Sharad Pawar Brothor Anantrao Pawar. His father works in Shantaram’s Rajkamal Studio. Ajit completed his primary education from Deoli Pravar and obtained a certificate from the Madhyamik School of Maharashtra Government. Not only this, Pawar has studied Secondary school level (equivalent to Junior High USA) or GCSE (UK).

Ajit Pawar’s early life

Ajit Pawar started his political career at the age of 20 from 1982. His first step in politics was for a Chinese cooperative. After this, he became the chairman of District Cooperative Bank in 1991 and worked for 16 consecutive years while holding this post. Ajit Pawar was elected for the first time in the Lok Sabha elections in 1991 from Baramati constituency but left the seat vacant for uncle Sharad Pawar, who was working as the defense minister in the PV Narasimha government.

After this, elections were held in the same year for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections in which he was victorious and served as the Minister of State for Agriculture and Power from November 1992 to 1993 in the Government of Maharashtra. After this, he was elected from the same constituency in the years 1995, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014. He served in key positions like Minister of State for Agriculture, Horticulture and Power, Minister of Water Resources in the Government of Maharashtra. Not only this, he was also Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Government from 29 September 2012 to September 2014.

Ajit Pawar is a promising leader of NCP in Maharashtra who aims to become the Chief Minister. He has always made his own way in politics. He has also faced many charges while in politics. In 2013, his name was dragged into the irrigation scam due to which he had to resign from his post. After this, he gives a clean chit in the so-called allegations leveled against him, he was restored to the deputy CM’s chair.
