Arun Jaitley (born: 28 December 1952 New Delhi) is a prominent leader and famous advocate of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the former Finance Minister of India. He held several major positions along with the Union Minister of Justice under the rule of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance).

he completed his schooling from St. Xavier’s School, New Delhi in 1957-69. He did his graduation in commerce in 1973 from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi. He received a law degree in 1977 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Delhi. During his career as a student, he has received various accolades for outstanding performance in both academic and extracurricular activities. He was also the President of the Students’ Organization of Delhi University in 1974.

Former Finance Minister and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley died in AIIMS, Delhi on Saturday. He was battling illness for a long time. He was 66. On August 9, Arun Jaitley was admitted to AIIMS after suffering from shortness of breath. He was being treated under the supervision of a team of experienced doctors. On Saturday morning, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan had come to see him. His last rites will be performed at Nigam Bodh Ghat in Delhi on Sunday.
