Charles Stanley was born on 25 September 1932 in Dry Fork, Pittsylvania County, Virginia.  Stanley was born to Rebecca Stanley and Charles Stanely before nine months of his father’s death. When he was 12 years old, he got the title Born-again Christian and began his Christian minister’s duties when he became 14 years old.

Charles went to the University of Richmond and studied for an undergraduate degree. Afterward, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary awarded his Master’s degree. He achieved a doctorate in theology from Luther Rice Seminary.
