Divya Chouksey was born on November 14 1990, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She comes from the family of lawyers. Her father Mohan Chouksey and sister Pallavi are both well-known lawyers. Divya also has a brother named Mayank. She completed her schooling from Bhopal, and after completing her education, she visited Delhi for further studies. She visited Delhi to pursue her graduation in Mass Comm. Then, she did her Masters in Documentary Filmmaking from the University of Bedfordshire, UK.

She returned to India and visited Mumbai where she worked in MTV Making The Cut 2, MTV True Life, and MTV Bakra. Divya had also participated in IAM SHE Miss Universe in 2011.

She made her debut in Bollywood with Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara with fellow actors Sahi Anand, Herry Tangiri, Vikram Kochhar, Niyati Joshi. Her debut song is Patiyaale Do Queen.

She had learnt Punjabi during her four-year stay in Delhi and introduced her feminist song on International Women’s Day.

She revealed in an interview that she wanted to release a song for girls who are healthy and bold which her song was a response to Honey Singh’s lyrics. Divya is additionally a trained dancer in various art forms like Kathak and Salsa.

Actor Divya Chouksey was affected by cancer for 1.5 years. She was struggling and battling with cancer and passed away on July 12. Just hours before her passing, the actor made a post on her social media stories. She penned down her last goodbye for her fans; she informed them that she is on her deathbed and is being strong. She also said that her cancer is ‘killing her’ and asked her fans to buy her ‘easy passing’.
