Keren Reuter was a very famous makeup artist who was born on 22nd January 1957 in the United States. Her birth town was Little Falls, New Jersey. Keren Reuter’s death happened because of a very terrible disease cancer and she was 62 years of age at the time of her death. She left for heavenly abode on January 24, 2019.

Early life and Education of the artist

Keren Reuter was a professional makeup artist by profession and she was very famous for her work. Keren worked as a key makeup artist in the show’s first few seasons “Orange Is the New Black“. Her work was so commendable that gradually she was given the title of Makeup Department Head of the same show.

She acquired her graduation degree in 1975 from the Passaic Valley Regional High School in Little Falls, New Jersey. She was a volunteer at a church in New Jersey which was the Liquid Church in Netley. Hollywood was the industry from where Keren began her makeup career and she had also worked as a co-key makeup artist in a kid’s show ‘Pee Wee’s Playhouse‘ for four years.

She worked with the show from 1987-1990. She was a co-author to ‘Read My Lips: A Cultural History of Lipstick’ and the book was launched in the year 1998. InNew York, she was a member of the Make-up and Hair Local 798.

About Keren’s Husband and Children

The name of Keren’s Husband is Steven Kozlowski. The beautiful couple got married on September 2, 2017. Keren Reuter obituary said Five years were shared by the couple together and those were very special moments of their lives. The tribute to Keren was very beautiful and heart-touching that read “Keren was the loving wife of Steven Kozlowski with whom Keren shared 5 amazing years of her life and her love too. The couple has four children Eden, Anton, Damon and Simone.

Keren has a daughter Simone Fabbo. On July 28, 2019, an episode of OITNB was dedicated to the memory of Keren and after watching the tribute she Instagrammed a picture of the tribute of Orange Is the New Black and wrote a caption in which she thanked the entire team of Keren Reuter Orange Is The New Black for dedicating an entire episode to the memory of Keren. She also mentioned that OITNB was a second family for her away from home and her loss has affected everyone on the set of the show as well.

She worked as a makeup artist for 20 episodes of the show between 2013 and 2014. She was them promoted to the head of the makeup department and worked for 2 more years. An episode titled ‘The Big House’ aired in July and the whole episode of Keren Reuter OITNB was dedicated to Keren and carried a small card that said: “In the loving memory of Keren”.

She held a nomination for Best Contemporary Makeup Award for her great dedication and the quality of work done in OITNB. The nomination was given by the Artists and Hairstylists Guild.

Keren Reuter died on January 24, 2019, at her home in South Orange, New Jersey. She died of Cancer and her loss deeply affected her family, loved ones and her co-workers as well. People paid to a warn eyed lady and took a good amount of time to recover.
