Andrew Yang was born on January 13, 1975, in Schenectady, New York and he was raised in Westchester County nearby. His parents moved from Taiwan to the U.S, in 1960 and when his parent in Taiwan they both graduated at the University of California, in Berkeley and his father graduated Ph.D. in physics and his mother earned her master’s degree in statistics. Yang has an older brother, he works as a psychology professor at New York University.
