Personal life of Io Shirai

Beautiful Shirai was formerly engaged to a fellow Japanese professional wrestler Nosawa. She and Kazushige Nosawa even lived together in Koto, Tokyo, for some time. Unfortunately, they broke up their relationship after some time. Besides, Odate also had some legal problems in the past. On May 23rd, 2012, she and Nosawa were arrested at the airport in Narita, Chiba under suspicion of trying to smuggle marijuana. Both of them denied the accusations, and she was released from the detention center on June 12th of the same year. However, later it was found out that the drugs were planted by a Mexico-based Japanese wrestler named Takuya Sugi. It turned out that he had a personal grudge with Nosawa and did that heinous act to get back at him.
